The tram is 56 meters long and holds 345 passengers, 81 of them seated. The new long CAF is low-floor along its entire length and fully step-free inside.
These long trams are no strangers to Budapest: the earlier CAF models have been in service in the capital since 2016. The vehicle that has just arrived is an upgraded version of this model.
A total of five new long CAF trams will be delivered. Each will carry passengers on Tram Line 1. The project involving these vehicles is being carried out with European Union funding.
