We brought a donation to Ukraine

The donations we collect will go to the tragically-fated Bucsa. We are moved to tears: we just spoke with Ambassador Ljubov Nepop at the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary. The Ambassador conveyed her gratitude to all those who contributed in any way to the success of the fundraising campaign of the City of Short Distances Foundation. As it turned out – the donation will go to Bucsa: you contributed a lot to the campaign (second […]

Santa Claus 2020

The small packages of sweets were delivered to the children with the help of the Lámpás 92 Foundation. Special thanks to Balázs-Piri Kató for joining the campaign and supporting it in every way: it would not have been possible without him. May the holidays be beautiful even for those in the most difficult situations!

School supplies collection 2020

With the cooperation of the Bischitz Johanna Family and Child Welfare Center in the seventh district, we delivered school supplies to children from families with modest backgrounds. In addition to the joy of starting school, we also provided assistance in alleviating financial difficulties. We thank the people of the district for their support, which has truly gone to a good place!

New tour

„Miért nem mi találtuk ki” – tette fel a költői kérdést Karácsony Gergely főpolgármester az „Új körút” tervvel kapcsolatban, amit múlt héten mutattunk be. A Kis Távolságok Városa Alapítvány eseményével több sajtóorgánum is foglalkozott. Terézváros önkormányzati médiája rendkívül jól foglalta össze: https://terezvaros.hu/hirek/uj-korut-szuletik Köszönjük az eseményt megnyitó Karácsony Gergely főpolgármesternek a támogató szavakat, az esemény panelbeszélgetésében […]

Parking Day 2022

What do San Francisco and Erzsébetváros have in common? We also implemented this action in Parking Day! 2022: we transformed parking lots into community spaces to show what it would be like if people, not cars, played the main role in the city. Because the city is ours, it is for us!

Globe

We were invited to the event called Földgömb, where we shared our urban policy vision of the 15-minute city.

Benches in front of the Garay Center

Many people had a problem with the lack of adequate seating where they could rest at Garay Square. However, Színes Erzsébetváros managed to get the municipality to install comfortable benches here as well.

Telephone booth removal from Nefelejcs Street

The streets of Erzsébetváros are home to a number of unused phone booths that have become outdated and neglected. The Színes Erzsébetváros team contacted the authorities and managed to remove several of the unused booths to make way for clean, tidy public spaces.

Phone booth decals

Disused phone booths often become illegal dumps or public toilets. Our campaign drew attention to the fact that these redundant objects no longer serve the community and require an urgent solution.
