An unmistakable painterly world on Klauzál Square

On October 8, the gallery at Klauzál tér 6 filled up with Bazil Duliskovich's paintings, and many people came to the opening. The exhibition “The Desperate Empire of Happiness” was opened by its curator, art historian Iván András Bojár.

## A universe of his own on canvas

Iván András Bojár has called Bazil Duliskovich perhaps the loneliest figure in contemporary Hungarian painting. He believes the painter creates in a world that cannot be confused with anyone else’s, while each of his works reveals a new experience or emotional core.

According to the curator, Duliskovich's art is not driven by fashions or art market trends. As he put it at the opening, the painter “was perhaps never fashionable, and will never be able to go out of fashion”.

## Three more weeks at Klauzál tér

The exhibition, which runs through October 29, offers the Erzsébetváros audience an opportunity to get a closer look at this unique artistic universe.

KULT7 Gallery is at Klauzál tér 6. It is open Tuesday to Friday 2–6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m.–1 p.m.; closed on Mondays and Sundays.
