For three evenings, the city-centre passage is illuminated by a monumental composition made up of seventy beams. The 70 fény installation pays tribute to the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and its victims, evoking both the desire for freedom and the memory of the seven decades that have passed since then.
According to Funzine, visitors can see the installation at Városháza Passzázs between 2 and 4 November.
Light, sound and archival recordings
Archival radio recordings accompany the light display, bringing the atmosphere of the revolution’s days closer to visitors. A related exhibition is also part of the programme, combining visual material and sound in a shared act of remembrance.
The seventy skyward beams become visible after dark. The installation can be visited daily from 5 pm to 10 pm.
