When Mistakes Drive Scientific Progress

When Mistakes Drive Science Forward
The history of science has not been shaped solely by carefully planned experiments and flawless calculations. Chance events, wrong turns and attempts that initially appeared to have failed have also led to major results.

The talk, titled “Tévedések és kudarcok a tudomány és a technika világában” (“Mistakes and failures in the world of science and technology”), will bring together some of these stories. Speaker Adorjánné Farkas Magdi will examine how an error or unexpected turn can become the starting point for a discovery.
