The new traffic rules will come into effect in Inner Erzsébetváros on June 22nd, and after many years of struggle, Kazinczy Street, as well as some surrounding streets, will become a pedestrian street. This is a big step towards a more livable Budapest – and this must be celebrated!
The best way to do this is to Instead of an endless line of taxis, we take over the street ourselves: therefore the Colorful Erzsébetváros and the Podmaniczky Movement Friday, June 27th from 2:00 PM organizes a street festival on Kazinczy Street.

Title: How can the city center be more livable?
The new traffic rules will come into effect in Inner Erzsébetváros on June 22nd, and after many years of struggle, Kazinczy Street and several surrounding streets are becoming pedestrian streets. This is a significant step towards a more livable Budapest – but how did we get here?
How can you to cooperate with the capital and the districts for a more livable downtown? And what can be done to make it Don't let the inner districts become depopulated.but rather to retain real, vibrant city life?
From five in the afternoon these questions are discussed in Podmaniczky Movement and the Colorful Erzsébetváros at their joint street festival:
The Brassy LLama:
Unique cord bracelet workshop. Age group: 6-99 years old. Make a unique cord bracelet from Czech glass beads and recycled materials. The bracelet is easy to make with my help, adjustable with a slip knot. https://www.facebook.com/thebrassyllama
Print_gasm:
I was thinking of a flash-friendly printer workshop, if you have a short time, you could print ready-made prints (max 10 minutes, for ages 5+) if you have more time, you could even cut them (1-5 hours for ages 12+). (If it's not a problem that the workshop would be with relatively sharp linocut knives.)https://www.printgasm.eu/
ManoConcept:
I make lanterns and jewelry from recycled wine bottles, combining them with an organic material (kombucha Scoby). I grow the material from kombucha tea. It is a fermentation process, I could hold a workshop on kombucha itself, mainly the theoretical part, the drink, and my presentation of the material, with which I show how I use it for creative purposes. (Not the bottle, that part is my own invention and secret). Probably a friend of mine who deals with Kombucha as a drink could join me for part of the afternoon and could bring a tasting. By the way, she works in a Michelin-starred restaurant, she is quite professional.https://manoconcept.art/
UpOver Threadworks:
Bead making workshop. I'll bring lots of all kinds of beads, charms, charms, baubles and so on, which you can string together to make jewelry, bag charms, key chains, things and whatever. I'll bring all the tools and equipment for this, and you just sit back and let your creativity take over. Approximate duration: 10-30 minutes. Age group: from kindergarten to retirement age (anyone who can string beads can do this too). https://www.facebook.com/upovercernamuvek
