Under Section 8 (2) c) of Act LXXIV of 2016 on the protection of the townscape, the local government may conduct a townscape notification procedure for building activities that are not covered by Section 57/F of the Étv., do not require a building authority permit and do not qualify as building activities subject to simple notification under Section 33/A of the Étv., and conducts a notification procedure for changes of use not covered by Section 57/F of the Étv. that involve a change of function or a change in the number of units, as well as for the placement of advertisements and advertising media. The detailed rules are set out in the chapter “Townscape notification procedure” (Section 18/C) of Government Decree 314/2012 (XI. 8.) on the urban development concept, the integrated urban development strategy and urban planning instruments, and on certain special urban planning legal instruments, Sections 46–49 of Government Decree 419/2021 (VII.15.) on the content of town plans, the procedure for preparing and adopting them, and certain special urban planning legal instruments, and Chapter VI “Townscape notification procedure” of the ETKR.
