A court ruling establishing paternity may be requested by the mother, the child, the child’s descendant after the child’s death, and the father. A minor child may take part in the suit as the mother’s co-litigant with the consent of the guardianship authority.
Under Section 64 (4) of the Gyer., in the case of a minor child, the notary examines whether establishing the child’s parentage and settling their family status is in the child’s interest.
