Support for young talents
Erzsébetváros Local Government, District VII, Budapest provides young people with a registered permanent or temporary address in District VII who actually live in District VII, young people under 23 the who are exceptionally talented in the sciences, the arts or sports with financial support to nurture their talent, develop their abilities and advance their careers
The support can be requested for expenses related to taking part in, or preparing for, an international competition or other international-level contest.
Applications are assessed individually based on the amount requested, but support is limited to a maximum of HUF 300,000.
If you are eligible for support, we will sign a contract with you or – if you are under 18 – with your legal guardian. When signing the contract, we will ask to see an ID card.
You will receive the support after signing the contract and can use it within 10 months; the contract will specify this period exactly (support period).
Within 30 days after the end of the support period you must account for the support. To do so, you must submit certified copies of invoices for your expenses related to taking part in the competition or preparing for it.
Please note that if you cannot use the support for the planned purposes after all, let us know within the support period and we will amend your contract, because when accounting we can only accept invoices for items included in the contract.
If you are under 18, these documents must be submitted to us by your parent or legal guardian.
The support can be claimed once a year, but if you also applied for the arts and sports support for young people in the same year, you cannot receive this support. If you received such support in the previous year, we can only grant new support once you have accounted for it.
Who can apply for the support
You can apply for support if you have a registered permanent or temporary address in District VII and actually live in District VII, at the time of application you are under 23, and in the two years before applying you placed 1st–5th in an international competition or received an award, or earned an international qualification at a national competition.
Where to apply and what you need
Your application must be submitted on Erzsébetváros’s e-Grant Management (e-Pályázatkezelő) platform , where you first need to register → https://palyazatkezelo.erzsebetvaros.hu
When registering, enter your own details; if you are under 18, after logging in to your user account you also need to enter the details of a parent or legal guardian.
In the application you must describe which competition you want to take part in, when and where it will be held, and exactly which costs you are requesting support for. If you are requesting support for preparation costs, you must show that the preparation is for the competition indicated.
With the application you must also attach the following documents:
– a professional CV listing your achievements and a motivation letter describing your future goals,
– proof of the international results that make you eligible for support,
– a letter of support or recommendation.
Application deadline
Your application between March 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 .
Procedural rules
Detailed rules on the support are set out in Local Government Decree 14/2022 (IV.13.) on arts and sports support for young people in Erzsébetváros and on support for young talents in Erzsébetváros.
Applications are assessed in the order received until the funds available in the Local Government’s budget are exhausted.
Eligibility for support is determined by the Mayor; there is no appeal against the decision.
If your application is incomplete, you can correct it once, within 5 daysof our notification. Otherwise we cannot assess your application.
