A full-effect acknowledgment of paternity can be made in person after the child’s birth or before it – from the beginning of the conception period.
Recording a full-effect acknowledgment of paternity falls within the Notary’s guardianship authority only if it is made by an adult father.
If the father is a minor, the Notary is not authorized to record the declaration in its guardianship authority; this remains within the competence of the guardianship office of the district office acting in child protection and guardianship matters.
