From June 22, 2025, under a decree of the Budapest General Assembly, BKK and Budapest K\u00f6z\u00fat are introducing new traffic arrangements in several streets and street sections of Inner Erzs\u00e9betv\u00e1ros. These changes affect vehicle access and parking.<\/p>\n

Vehicle access ends; only pedestrians and cyclists may use:<\/strong>
\u2022    the section of Kazinczy utca between R\u00e1k\u00f3czi \u00fat \u2013 Doh\u00e1ny utca and Wessel\u00e9nyi utca \u2013 Dob utca,
\u2022    the section of Dob Street between Rumbach Sebesty\u00e9n Street and S\u00edp Street,
\u2022    Cs\u00e1nyi Street from the underground car park onward.<\/p>\n

Vehicle access will require a permit:<\/strong>
\u2022    on the section of Kazinczy Street between Doh\u00e1ny Street and Wessel\u00e9nyi Street, 
\u2022    on the section of Mad\u00e1ch Imre \u00fat between Rumbach Sebesty\u00e9n Street and Asb\u00f3th Street,

Garbage trucks can still enter the streets, so bins should be put out in their usual place.<\/p>\n

I have reduced mobility, live on Asb\u00f3th Street and use the taxi card provided by the local government. Can the taxi take me door to door? If not, where can I get in?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vehicles carrying people with disabilities are subject to the same conditions as before, so the taxi can enter Asb\u00f3th Street if the passenger holds a disability parking card.<\/u><\/p>\n

I live on Dob Street, I am elderly and use Tesco\u2019s home delivery. Will they still deliver my shopping?<\/strong><\/p>\n

How do tradespeople get into the pedestrian streets? Is it true that those who come into the pedestrian streets charge more?<\/strong><\/p>\n

If the job requires a lot of equipment, it is worth requesting an access permit; otherwise tradespeople can park in the surrounding streets. We have no information that tradespeople charge extra for this.<\/p>\n

I have my own parking space in an underground car park, which I bought specifically so my clients have somewhere to park. I heard that access permits will be tied to license plates. How can I get a permit for my clients? From whom? It would be 2-3 clients a day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a big shopping trip, can't we even drive into our street for as long as it takes one of us to unload the bags in front of the building? Will we have to carry everything from several streets away?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Has anyone checked how a truck over 3.5 tonnes, or a long 3.5-tonne truck, turns from S\u00edp Street into Dob Street?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The route is used several times a week by large vehicles (e.g. garbage trucks), and neither the junction geometry nor the traffic direction changes, so a 3.5-tonne vehicle will be able to turn in, provided it does not exceed 2 meters in width. For vehicles exceeding the height, width and weight limits in force, a separate route permit must be requested in TOBI; in this case the road authority checks whether the vehicle meets the conditions.<\/p>\n
