About the Frigyes Karinthy Scholarship<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Students in grades 5-12 with a registered permanent or temporary address in District VII who actually live in District VII, attend a public education institution in District VII and have outstanding academic results can receive a scholarship of HUF 15,000 per month for 5 months<\/strong> and, in addition to the financial support, a certificate of recognition, if they meet the conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Under the current call, applications can be submitted on the basis of the results of the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year<\/strong> ; recipients receive the support for February \u2013 June 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who can apply?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Eligible to apply are students who<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. have a registered permanent or temporary address in District VII, Budapest, and actually live in District VII,<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. are students in grades 5-12 of a public education institution operating in District VII, Budapest,<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. have a semester or year-end grade average of at least:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    3a) 5-8.<\/strong> grade students: 4,80<\/strong>,<\/span><\/p>\n

    3b) 9-12.<\/strong> grade students: 4,70<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The grade average may not include conduct<\/strong> and diligence<\/strong> grades.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Applications can be submitted for the last time on the basis of the results of the first semester of grade 12<\/strong> .<\/span><\/p>\n

    The Not entitled to financial support is<\/strong> anyone who, at the time of application, receives scholarship support under Local Government Decree 6\/2016 (II.18.) on the local rules for social benefits, social services, and cash, in-kind and personal care child welfare benefits. If you would be eligible for support based on your family\u2019s per capita income, we recommend applying for the social scholarship support.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Where to apply and what you need<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Your application must be submitted on Erzs\u00e9betv\u00e1ros\u2019s e-Grant Management (e-P\u00e1ly\u00e1zatkezel\u0151) platform<\/strong> , where you first need to register \u2192 https:\/\/palyazatkezelo.erzsebetvaros.hu<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Registration must be done separately for each student, For students under 18, we ask that in the child\u2019s name<\/u>, but registration should be done by the parents (legal representative)<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Applications can only be submitted after registration has been approved<\/strong>; the document proving the results of the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year must be attached.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Application deadline<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Your application Applications can be submitted until March 1, 2026 <\/strong>(Sunday); however, please complete your registration in the grant management<\/strong> system by February 26, 2026 at the latest<\/strong> , as approval of the registration takes 2-3 working days.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Procedural<\/strong> rules<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Detailed rules on the scholarship are set out in Local Government Decree 3\/2020 (I.30.) on the Frigyes Karinthy Scholarship.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Missing items may be supplied once<\/strong> ; the request is sent electronically to the email address registered on the e-Grant Management platform, and missing items must be supplied within 5 days<\/strong> of the electronic notification.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Eligibility for the scholarship is determined by the Mayor; there is no appeal against the decision. We notify the student or their legal representative of the scholarship both electronically and by post.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Obligations<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    While the scholarship is being paid, the student or their legal representative must notify in writing<\/strong> the Mayor\u2019s Office if their address changes or the student continues their studies at another institution.<\/span><\/p>\n
